Prolific PENNYWISE
Posted 7/29/2010 8:00:00 AM
There may be a new frontman, but that’s not slowing down Pennywise.
Guitarist Fletcher Dragge told The Broward-Palm Beach New Times,
“We actually just keep writing. We write all the way until we get in the
studio, cause you never know when you’re gonna come up with a song. We’ve
come up with songs the day before we walk into the studio that end up being
title tracks on the record.” Dragge says at this point, the band have
between 40 and 50 possible new tracks and have no plans of stopping the
process. He adds, “We’re constantly trying to better what we already
have.” The band’s next record will mark the recording debut with the
group for Ignite vocalist Zoli Teglas. Longtime frontman Jim
Lindberg exited the band last year and is prepping the first release from
his new band, The Black Pacific.
Goal Oriented NEON TREES

Neon Trees are off to a great start in their career with
the top five single “Animal.” But the success is not a surprise for the
band, as they are a very goal oriented bunch. Bassist Branden
Campbell tells us that two of the members of the band were once fill-ins,
who ended up sticking around. In fact, Campbell visualized becoming a group member
and foresaw his role before it came to fruition. He tells us, “I was so
intrigued by the band and so I subbed. I had to do some other stuff, but
I was hooked and I knew I had to be part of the band. I called Tyler
[singer Glenn]…[and said], ‘I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but I
know that I’m going to be in the band with you.’”
Glenn adds, “I think
it’s an example and I think this is how the ...
