Goal Oriented NEON TREES

Neon Trees are off to a great start in their career with
the top five single “Animal.” But the success is not a surprise for the
band, as they are a very goal oriented bunch. Bassist Branden
Campbell tells us that two of the members of the band were once fill-ins,
who ended up sticking around. In fact, Campbell visualized becoming a group member
and foresaw his role before it came to fruition. He tells us, “I was so
intrigued by the band and so I subbed. I had to do some other stuff, but
I was hooked and I knew I had to be part of the band. I called Tyler
[singer Glenn]…[and said], ‘I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but I
know that I’m going to be in the band with you.’”
Glenn adds, “I think
it’s an example and I think this is how the band has gotten where it’s
gotten…but he and we as a band always visualize where we’re gonna be and stay
true to it. I think goals are a lost tradition, but they should be as
relevant as ever.”
Neon Trees play The Clubhouse in Tempe this Saturday night, 7/31/10.
