Having grown up in the era of Journey, Guns N Roses and jellies, Jayde will always have a bit of the 80s in her. Growing up in Atlanta, GA, her music evolution was slow and influenced by a community with a heavy pop and hip hop influence. Still, listening to her mother instead of her peers, Jayde could be found shopping cassette tapes by Aerosmith, Billy Joel, The Monkees, and of course any buttrock band available. You can blame her reality TV addiction on Bret Michaels…Rock of Love is a great show, don’t judge. After scanning the airwaves in Atlanta for the little bit of rock offered, at the age of 9, Jayde turned to her mother and told her she wanted to be on the radio. Thanks to the Walter Cronkite (RIP) school at Arizona State University, she got her degree in Broadcast Management and started pimping herself on the Arizona airwaves in any way possible. Live shows were a huge part of her musical journey, and the local scene became her family, with bands like Authority Zero, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, The Format, Digital Summer, Thousand Yard Stare, Sixth Year Senior, Girl Repellent, Ember Coast, Evolocity, Shawn Johnson and the Foundation…the list goes on, as the scene plays on. She’s stoked to be reunited with her former 1039 family, Sundays 2-6!
