Okay so here’s the Cliffs Notes version of the life of Young Marc. Born and raised in LA… yeah, I know but my parents didn’t know better. Moved to Reno, Nevada in my teens (still wondering why I did that) and finagled my way into a wee radio station called KRZQ. For those of you enamored by the magic of radio, keep in mind a few rules I’ve learned. 1) No, you do not make much money, nor will your parents ever be proud of your decision to drop out of medical school to “play records”. 2) You will have to move around the country like a confused nomad for the rest of your career strangely collecting cardboard boxes at random times readying yourself for your next jump. 3) Yes, it’s still the best job in the world!
Okay, back to the bio. I moved to Las Vegas a few years later, then Tucson (Yay AZ!), Hawaii (still miss that place), Albuquerque (don’t ask), Phoenix in ’04 and ’05 here at Edge 103.9, Chicago and finally back home again… here with X1039. I do have to say, of all the stations I’ve had the pleasure to work with, X103.9 is a real family full of people that love their jobs of giving you a fun radio station to listen to everyday.
