Hello valley! I’m Chris Kelly. Or as I’m known around the hallways of FM/1039 simply, “CK” (initials are fun) I hail from a little hillbilly town in New Mexico called Rio Rancho. Where paved roads are hard to come by and chasing tumble weeds is a past time. As a child, MTV was my baby sitter and sitting in my room listening to music was a usual occurrence. But, thanks to my awesome upbringing I fell in love with music. I moved to AZ in 2001 and automatically fell in love with FM/1039. I knew from the get go, I wanted to work for the only radio station I listened to. After applying for an internship four semesters in a row and being denied… I decided to lie on my resume and say I was a DJ for some fake radio station in San Diego. The person who interviewed me (Robin Nash) called me out on my lie, but gave me a job anyway! (Love ya Nash) But, 6 or so years later I’m here, and loving every second of it. I do have the best job in the world, but it is YOU, the listeners, that make it the best job in the world!!!!! For that, I thank you a million times over. Cheers!!!
