Big D and The Kids Table and Sonic Boom Six at The Rhythm Room !

There is nothing better than going to a show with high expectations and having those expectations met ....and in this case exceeded. I was really looking forward to both the bands on this bill and both bands delivered. Up first was Sonic Boom Six from Manchester U.K. I happened to stumble across SB6 on the internet one day and was blown away by the music. A perfect blend of punk, ska, metal and even the slightest bit of hip hop thrown in for good measure. However recording good music these days and actually being able to perform live are two entirely different things .....but not for Sonic Boom Six......buy the records.....see them live next time they come to town.....and be glad that I told you so........they were phenomenal.

Up next was Big D and the Kids Table.....I was wondering how Big D was going to follow the high energy set of Sonic Boom Six. The latest record is a little more mellow than past Big D outings. It's a very good record but much more mellow... and after SB6 the crowd seemed way past mellow. My concern was unfounded however and the band put on a blistering set,  full of new and old material that had heads bobbing from the minute Big D and his beautiful back up singers "The Doped Up Dollies" hit the stage.

Great show and good times all night at the Rhythm Room ! Props to Sonic Boom Six and Big D and the Kids Table for a great show.
